2025 / 11 / 18

What is the Passive House Standard?

What is the ultimate goal of achieving nearly Zero-Energy Buildings (nZEB)?
What should sustainable homes look like? High-performance insulation? Energy efficiency? Comfort? Health?

Exploring building energy efficiency has become essential knowledge for the modern era.

Course Overview

Since 2010, the European Union has included nearly Zero-Energy Buildings (nZEB) in the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD).
Member states are required to ensure that all public buildings meet nZEB standards by December 2018 and all new buildings meet nZEB standards by the end of 2020.

Adopting Passive House Design is one of the most effective strategies for achieving these goals. This course introduces the principles and practical applications of Passive House design to guide participants toward designing energy-efficient, sustainable buildings.
